The Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refining facility, is transforming industries far beyond fuel supply. With a massive 650,000 barrels-per-day capacity, this $20 billion state-of-the-art refinery is not only meeting Nigeria’s petrol needs but also supplying critical raw materials to multiple industries across Africa.

The Dangote Refinery has revolutionized Africa’s aviation sector by producing up to 11 million litres of dual-purpose kerosene (DPK) daily, including 9 million litres of aviation fuel (Jet A1).

Previously reliant on expensive, imported jet fuel, Nigerian airlines can now source locally, significantly cutting costsand stabilizing fuel supply. The refinery has also begun exporting jet fuel to international markets, strengthening Africa’s global energy presence.

The refinery’s 900,000 metric tonnes of polypropylene production annually is a game-changer for Africa’s petrochemical and manufacturing industries.
