The Anambra State government and Afreximbank have inked a $200m development agreement, marking a significant advancement in the state’s trajectory towards inclusive growth and sustainable development. The arrangement incorporates two central initiatives. The first is aimed at furnishing capital-raising financial advisory services for critical projects such as the Ikenga Mixed-Use Industrial City Project, investments in the Anambra Export Emporium, and the inception of the Akwaihedi Unubi Uga Automotive Industrial Park.

The second initiative, the Anambra Diaspora Fund, is designed to establish an operational and governance framework, harnessing the resources and expertise of the diaspora community for the state’s advantage. This groundbreaking agreement was signed during the Intra-African Trade Fair 2023 in Cairo, Egypt, reflecting the state’s and Afreximbank’s shared commitment to catalyze sustainable development across the region.
